PC Show 2010 Singapore

PC Show 2010 is currently held in Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore from today till Sunday. Went there this afternoon with my family for few hours and it was an awesome trip despite the overwhelming crowd. The convention is pretty big though since it’s being held on two levels.

One thing my cousin noticed was the lack of a Nikon booth as we were planning to buy cameras and ended up getting the same Samsung camera, the PL150 for S$349 each.

The specs of this camera I’ve gotten.

Samsung PL150’s
– 12.4 Megapixels
– Front & Back dual LCDs
– Smart Auto 2.0
– 27mm Wide, 5x Optical Zoom Lens
– 3.0″ Intelligent TFT LCD
– High Definition Movie Recording
– Smart Face Recognition

PL150’s Free Gifts
– HDMI Cable worth S$49.90
– 1x 8GB microSD card
– 1x 4GB microSD card
– An extra lithium battery
– Camera case

Getting free gifts from buying stuffs in convention like this is pretty common since all the stores are competing with each others. Anyway, from the gifts I listed above, the HDMI cable that worth S$49.90 is a complete joke as from what I’ve seen so far, it’s only one metre long. Yes, one metre is not a problem for the camera but it’s doesn’t worth 50 bucks. Also, it’s a shame that the camera doesn’t come along with a free screen protector…

After two hours of exploring in the convention, my cousin decided to buy an iPhone 3GS from Starhub by using my name to sign up a plan for cheaper cost. I’m glad that he has finally made up his mind after being so irresolute about getting it for months.
